My name is Andreas Schmid and I am the founder of ai.communications GmbH.

I have been working in the parking industry for more than 25 years and, during that time, have acquired extensive experience in the areas of customer service, process optimisation and digitalisation. In 2025, however, I realised that the possibilities offered by modern artificial intelligence extend far beyond the limits of individual sectors and hold enormous potential, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Time and again, a recurring topic of discussion in both my personal and professional circles was the difficulty in getting through to doctors’ surgeries by telephone. Patients often report long waiting times, busy lines or a lack of call-backs. At the same time, medical facilities are under increasing pressure to handle a rising number of enquiries with limited staff resources. These challenges not only affect patients, but also place a strain on staff in doctors’ surgeries, outpatient clinics and hospitals.

By a happy coincidence, I came across the company Quadrant Health. Right from the very first discussions, it became clear to me that their products and vision for the future corresponded exactly to my own idea of a meaningful and responsible use of artificial intelligence. Rather than replacing people, AI should provide support where it simplifies processes, reduces waiting times and frees up time for personalised care.

This encounter ultimately sparked a new career direction. In April 2026, I founded ai.communications GmbH with the clear aim of offering innovative AI solutions for the healthcare sector. Our focus is on helping doctors’ practices, health centres and hospitals to make their communication with patients more efficient and to automate administrative processes.
We are convinced that modern AI technologies can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of patient care. When routine tasks are automated and communication processes optimised, healthcare professionals gain more time for their core task: treating and caring for people.
